Anneonghasaeyo yeorobun!

Today I shall be blogging about my favorite Laneige skin care and make-up product :)

Yes, in case you're not in the loop, this is part of Laneige's Beautiful Blogger Challenge, where one lucky winner will win a 1-year "Laneige K-Beauty Blogger" contract & an attractive $2,000 cash prize!

Now, there are heaps of people taking part in this, but nevertheless I shall try my luck.

You know why.

Yes you do.

BECAUSE.

Laneige is

k o r e a n.

HOW CAN I NOT?! I am number one fan of anything Korean hahaha. I know you guys are going, "Not again?!?!"
As if one k-pop competition, a dance contest and a legit SNSD dance cover on YouTube isn't enough right.

Guys please support me ok! :D :D and no, I'm never getting sick of the Taehanminguk!

Okay I have digressed too much. Back to Laneige ~

So, the first time I bought a Laneige product was last December in Korea. Never looked back since!

Introducing my precious Laneige Snow BB Cream!

Besides giving me good coverage and snowy white skin like a Korean, it has a triple function of anti-wrinkle, whitening and an impressive SPF 41! With this, half the battle is won for all the "I am Korean" lies I've been telling people, kekekekeke ~

The Liquid Crystal Essence works as a natural skin barrier and locks in moisture, so that your skin remains hydrated and supple :)

Now of course, an obligatory selca (trying very hard to be Song Hye Gyo yes you may commence judgement)

Truth of the matter is, I just ended work and I look ridiculously tired. But I'm still insisting on churning out this post, because Korea.

Korea = pretty much self-explanatory to be honest.

Next up, the Laneige much raved-about Water Sleeping Pack_EX!

Impossibly gentle on the skin, this product pampers my face throughout the night and leaves my skin moisturized and smooth.

Working long hours is undoubtedly the number one cause of dehydrated and tired skin, so this sleeping pack works to replenish, brighten and restore my skin to its vitality :)

I apply the light gel-like substance after cleansing face and before I sleep, which works best. Enriched with Beta-glucan, this product deeply hydrates fatigued and dry skin while Ceramide SLN formula strengthens the skin barrier. It smells fresh too, which is just daebak!

WHAT MORE CAN YOU ASK FOR?

With Laneige's Snow BB Cream in the day and the Water Sleeping Pack_EX at night, I am all set to be Laneige's K-Beauty Blogger *everyone cross your fingers plz!*

Anything K-related, I'm up for it. Korea, K-pop, Kai, Kris, Kamsahamnida!

Saranghaeyo,
G.

Eggy hair, no I'm not yolking.

I promised you guys that I would try Sunsilk's hair tip (refer to previous post) on mixing egg yolk with any of Sunsilk's conditioners to create a DIY hair mask.

Well, I tried it this lovely rainy afternoon at home and I can safely say I'm not brilliant with food of any kind, especially raw ones.

For starters, I had no idea how to separate egg yolk from egg white (which was made worse since le sister and maid were judging me from the corner of their eyes)

So here I am, with my perfect egg ^^

Spoon to the rescue ~

Egg yolk after I had taken away the whites, although there were remnants of white still

Time to add the nourishing soft and smooth conditioner and mix!

So it looks somewhat like this after mixing. Looks pretty unconvincing tbh.

Time to head for the bath nonetheless.

Putting my best smile forward!

1 hour later........

I was sorely disappointed as my hair did not feel any softer or smoother! My hair smells a lot like egg now though.

Perhaps I made a mistake along the way, or mixed too little yolk or conditioner. The mixture was not thick and creamy; instead it was flowy and malleable. I left it on for about 5-10 mins, hoping for some miracle, but my hair remained stoic as a rock.

I rinsed off and dried my hair. Applied Sunsilk's leave-on lotion and blew dry my hair (cold air).

Final results:

Looking all sunshine girl and shampoo ad-like but no. Hair is far from feeling like a million bucks :(

Everyone's hair and texture is different though, maybe this treatment isn't suited for my hair type. I had alot of fun trying out this experiment though, maybe I should try the milk or the beer one next.....?

HAHAHAHAHA asdfghjkl

What do you guys think? If you think you're up to it or have done it before, leave a comment below or tweet me your thoughts!

This affair is sure hairy.

xoxo,
G.

Hi guys, I'm back with a new post on the Sunsilk event I attended last Saturday!

Sorry for the delay, I was waiting for some of the official photos to be released, in addition to the mounting workload on my desk at work.

I promise a colourful post, so you better watch out, you better not run~

So I had a really long week at work, and I was looking forward to the event where I can truly let my hair down (pun intended) for the weekend and unwind. Let the onslaught of pictures begin then!

Delicious macaroons from Canelé

It's time to head into the salon (which was thankfully air-conditioned!)

Okay, time for the hair makeover!

The lady in charge of my hair!

Kindly ignore the horrifying roots, I'm getting them done next weekend. In other news, my hair has gone back to BURNT ORANGE/YELLOW again, not cool man not cool, I can't seem to get away from this colour jfc

The end product! yeppo?

TADA, the lovely ladies of Sunsilk ~

And then, goodie bag collection! Leney's face sums it up perfectly, the weight was at least 8kg-10kg.

Printed photo courtesy of Sunsilk, though I look really pudgy

Thank you Sunsilk! I had a really great time, and that night I puckered up to the mirror and pretended I was having a hair shoot before reluctantly washing my hair.

Ready to see the goodies in the bag? ^^

Generous Sunsilk is very generous, now my hair will smell nice and clean for at least the next half year :D

Smooth and Manageable range

Nourishing soft and smooth range

I've been trying out the nourishing range for the past 3 days, and boy, either my previous shampoo was shit or this is fantastic. My pile of hay has hope!

I shampoo and condition my hair, then end off with the leave-on, before blow-drying. The leave-on conditioner contains camellia oil, brazilian babassu oil, coconut oil, almond oil and moroccan argan oil. These natural oils penetrate the hair to nourish and leave a thin surface film to prevent moisture loss without weighing the hair down. It makes my hair soft and easy to smooth out the tangles, which I'm really grateful for because I already drop like a whole tonne of hair every wash and trying to battle with my tangles just makes it worse.

Can't wait to get started on the pink range!

Hair tip of the week: Mix egg yolk with any of Sunsilk's conditioners! Eggs contain lecithin and protein, which strengthen and nourish hair. The high sulphuric content also prevents scalp flakes ^^

Gonna try it out this weekend and document the experiment result for you guys! Wait for it :)

Once again, big thanks to Sunsilk Singapore and Fulford PR for the invite, and of course, dearest Leney x
