The first i.t multi label flagship store is now open at Wisma Atria!

Having been exposed to Hong Kong brands rather frequently since my aunt resides there, it was a pleasant surprise when my boss said she has RSVP-ed for me and Ron (the other intern at Esquire) for the exclusive opening of the store last Wednesday ^^

i.t originated from HK, and this is Singapore's very first store! The style is very much avant-garde and edgy street fashion, so fashionistas will absolutely adore this place.

I've been really busy last week, taking 4 days off work to attend foundation classes at AIA. Yes, if you're wondering, I'm studying capital markets and investment-linked policies and other math economic whatnots to become a full-fledged Financial Services Consultant. In addition to internship at Esquire, being a full-time student at NTU, a blogger, taking Korean lessons and giving piano & tuition lessons.

So if any phrase is apt, I am drowning in work

Being completely bushed, last Wednesday was a lovely midweek perk-me-up, with Belgian waffles with crispy bacon for breakfast at Nassim Hill with le sister and omma to start off my day.

Take a good look at this god-sent dish. Excellent stuff.

Couldn't resist an #ootd (or two) outside our breakfast place, credits to sis!

Back to the i.t store, yes, let's begin!

Having dinner with Ron before the event and he was fooling around with my camera so everyone say hi to my hair (((hiiiii)))

This turned out pretty funny cause he was smiling at me and I was like, "let me take a photo of that smile" so now when I think back it's actually nice and awkward

I swear he was smiling at me. Through those glasses. Hehehe

Was very surprised to meet Getz, she's pretty and skinny as ever and I'm still jealous as ever

Personalised buttons from these girls, look at mine!

Last but not least, here's my purchase from the i.t store! There was a 20% storewide for the night, and in addition I had a media voucher, so I basically got these as a gift. Thanks Ron for your suggestion!

I rarely buy such shoes as I prefer ballet flats and sandals, but here's a toast to my gamble because I'm loving it!

Thank you for the wonderful goodie bag and polaroid for the night, it was truly a TGIW :')

I was very privileged to be invited to Tim Ho Wan's media tasting session last night at Plaza Sing. I've heard so much about it (and more importantly, the long queue) that I was dying to try their legendary char siew bao. Heck, even my sister's article on THW for The Straits Times is displayed outside the restaurant.

Some background info: THW is a Michelin Star Dim Sum restaurant, and Singapore is the first overseas outlet. Prices start from SGD3.80 onwards (which is all that is important, really).

Brought Chermaine as my +1, and was very pleased to see Jem and Mart there as well :) Also, another blogger's girlfriend turned out to be a schoolmate's sister. Small world, huh?

With blogger Nicholas and Mag :)

So don't say I didn't warn you, the incoming onslaught of food pictures might cause a certain squirming to the stomach, otherwise known as hunger pangs.

First up, the "Big 4 Heavenly Kings"!

Baked Bun with BBQ Pork ($4.50 for 3)

Every bite is a taste of heaven, a no-brainer considering the crumbly and fluffy exterior with barbecued pork oozing sauce inside. Thumbs up.

Steamed Egg Cake ($3.80)

It's like sponge cake, cameralised and bouncy. I actually didn't think one piece was enough...

Vermicelli Roll with Pig's Liver ($5.50)

I know some people think innards are disgusting, but this is really good. Besides the fact that, y'know, pig's liver actually helps to replenish the iron in our bodies. Which is mighty important for women. You know why.

Pan-fried Carrot Cake ($4.50 for 3)

One of my favourite dim sum dishes, so ditto.

Moving on to the steamed items -

Prawn Dumpling ($5.50 for 4)

Glutinous Rice Dumpling ($5)

Chicken Feet with Black Bean Sauce ($4)

Beancurd Skin Roll with Pork & Shrimp ($4)

Beef Ball with Beancurd Skin ($4.20)

Dumpling Teochew Style ($4)

Garlic, Mushroom, Spinach Dumpling ($3.80)

Pork Dumpling with Shrimp - Siew Mai ($5 for 4)

Deep/Pan-fried dishes -

Beancurd Skin Roll with Shrimp ($5.50)

Spring Roll with Egg White ($4.20) -
This one's a real novelty!

Poached Fresh Seasonal Vegetable ($5.50) -
Might be a little funky, especially for non-veggie lovers

Congee with Lean Pork, Century Egg and Salted Egg ($4.20)

Vermicelli Roll with Shrimp ($5.50)

Vermicelli Roll with Beef ($5.50)

Vermicelli Roll with BBQ Pork ($5.50)

And.... our desserts of the night!

Yam Puree with Sago - Hot ($3.50)

Tonic Medlar & Osmanthus Cake - Cold ($3.50)

Frankly, I'm more of a cheng tng/longan/canned fruit/fruit platter for desserts kinda person, so the two desserts didn't entice me much. The yam puree tastes alot like yam paste, y'know ornie (or however it's spelled) yeah that.

Also, I had refreshing ice lemon tea for drinks all night, so le me is happy :') They also serve barley, if you want something cooling. ALL AT AFFORDABLE PRICES!

A small tip to my readers, the queue is almost always horrendously long - I counted the daggers in my back at the VIP room after cutting the queue - so if you want to beat the crowd, go at 4 or 5pm, tea-time! The queue will be shorter :) Especially since THW doesn't take reservations!

Like my photos? Hahaha okay la, I know I'm not brilliant at taking food photos, but I'm learning! Learning how to use my Samsung camera that I got as a gift from Campus magazine as well. *how to make it auto-focus damnit*

Behind the scenes!

Organisers Mag and Liqin (get well soon babe!)

Is this how a +1 should behave, tsk tsk *coughs Martin too*

Pity this pretty picture is so dark, I've tried my best to lighten it :(

Thank you for the invite once again, Mags dearie!

Shine bright like a diamond (obviously the THW sign, not me), this place is a must-try at least once!

What are you waiting for?
