Had dinner last night with le Queen Mung at Hot Stones, with the other three Mungs stolen from us by gastric, allergy and work.

Pree, Xavier and Gary, I foresee a treat.......... :D

Without further ado, let's view the sumptuous spread Grace and I had last night!

While waiting for dinner...

Lychee Fizz

Lime Mojito

Seafood platter SGD 55

comes with salad and potato wedges!

Angus Ribeye set SGD 50

Food looked little, but was surprisingly filling for the two of us.

Seafood platter: 7/10
--> I personally prefer raw fish, so I felt that cooking the salmon and tuna on the hot slab the succulent taste of the fish was gone. So for raw fish-lovers, I suggest eating the fish raw rather than cook it.

Angus ribeye set: 9/10
--> Very delicious meat, it was juicy and tender. Big thanks to Grace who baby-ed me; she cooked it all while I was busy serving her second salad helpings hahaha!

Drinks were on the house, so I can't remember the prices, but thanks Gran and Hot Stones for the drinks and overall discount!

Ambience: 8/10
--> We sat inside since the weather was ridiculously hot, so the aircon was pleasant and as there wasn't much people inside compared to the outdoor dining, it was cosy and rather private.

For music I'm gonna give a 10/10 since they played City Hunter's OST, and because Grace rolled her eyes at my squirming butt bouncing on the chair, I'm changing my mind and giving it an eleven instead :) :) Please note that it's only ONE korean song though, the rest were all David Guetta and clubbing whatnots~~~ *coughs Gran's playlist*

Overall it was a lovely dining experience, think "atas pepper lunch" + "korean bbq" and you're all set.

If you're interested, here's the address:

3D River Valley Road, #01-06,
Singapore,

Tel: 6333 4868

It's somewhere along the river, opposite Central mall.

Hope you're having a sumptuous dinner while reading this post!

Till we meet again then~

*Disclaimer* this post is purely my own and has no relations to Hot Stones Singapore.

Without a break, I've stridden straight from exams to internship. Yes, the body is protesting, but the mind is willing. Liaising with fashion retailers in Singapore, scurrying around for clothes, preparing for shoots, these are some aspects of my job that I love.

I have to remember not to say "blueberry" while on the phone with Burberry's marketing manager though.

Cutting to the chase, I do feel like I have some sort of power over these high and mighty people who hover around snobbishly when you enter their glass of a shop. Behind the phone, I'm Anon who is "from Esquire Singapore, now bring me that glass of orange juice please".

Just kidding, of course I'm a diligent worker.

It has been three days of work, and I'm still poring over Esquire Korea's January edition!!! That has got to be the hardest magazine I've ever read. Everything is in Korean! Except maybe... captions. Yes, maybe I'll work as Caption Manager when I finally get my ass to Seoul after graduation, what d'you guys think? ^^^^^^^^^

Selcas next, obviously, because I can NEVER stop camwhoring heh heh :)

Alright, stay tuned for the next post, coming right up!

Happy Mothers' Day to all mothers out there!

Mother
妈妈
엄마
Ibu
Madre
Mère
Ma

These are just a few names of one of the most unselfish people in the world. Carrying us in their bellies for 9 months, putting themselves through pain and sacrificing for us.

Let us take this day to reflect on all that we have done for her, and always remember that no matter what, she will always be the one we love the most in this world.

Happy Mother's Day mom :)

Le sis and I bought mom an anti-aging "miracle worker" from Sephora, and some peach strudel courtesy of daddy dearest.

To Omma: Though you may give us grief sometimes, we know you always mean well and just remember, it goes the same way vice versa!

Love, gail gill koen <3

I had the honour of attending the Lumenis & Benefit collab event at Dr Joyce Lim's skin and laser clinic today~~

There were many other bloggers, and I was glad to have met a new friend. Hi Leney! :)

The talk focused on the different types of pigmentation issues on the skin, I think my mom enjoyed listening to it quite alot. So we went into the laser room in batches of two, here's how the demonstration went:

I've tried laser on my face before at one of the medical suites in Camden (to remove my acne scars and alleviate oily skin), and I think this procedure is pretty much the same. The feeling is uncomfortable at the start, like rubber bands snapping on your face, but after awhile you just get used to it :) Well--- as the saying goes, "一分钱,一分货" so since this is expensive, it must be good right??

Nah I'm kidding. Don't ever take anything at face value.

But speaking from the POV of someone who has done similar procedures before, this is truly well worth your money, and clears up your skin pretty quickly! Each skin varies though, so consult the doctor for the best advice :)

I really liked the Benefit talk and demo, it was really nice and informative, suddenly I feel the need to dash to Sephora and swipe everything off the Benefit counters! This is despite the fact that I ACTUALLY STILL HAVE LIKE THREE BAGS OF COSMETICS AT HOME LEFTOVER FROM MY KOREA TRIPS HAHAHAHAHA I am beyond hope guys. I only have one face, this is not going to work out at all creys.

The Benefit ladies passed around some samples, I'll let the pictures do the talking then :)

READY FOR THE MAGIC?

JENG JENG JENG can you guys see all my pores and lines hidden???
*I'm totally sold on this hahaha*

So basically I had alot of fun with Mag and Liqin trying out the samples and sniffing our hands like idiots because THE PRODUCTS SMELL SO GOOOOOOOOOD.

Then of course, we had to camwhore. Hehehe and we had a complimentary strawberry cheesecake from Lumenis~

AND..... goodie bags!

Apologies for the bad quality photos, I am now aware that I have to bring my camera along for events~~~~~~ my iPhone 4S has failed, it is no longer as clear as before! :(

Exciting bit next, time to see what is inside the goodie bag!

Pore-fessional and dayum, "that gal". New make-up to add to my stash, I can dance in delirious glee~~ I am a hoarder istg hahaha ^~^

OK, so to end off this post, here are some photos of Priscilla and Leney!

I need to lose weight soon so that I can look passably attractive on camera sighhhhhh, alright, I had a lovely Saturday afternoon at Paragon Medical Suites (level 11), time for some shut eye!

Ciao beaus and bellas <3

Here's a shout-out from me to you!

Today marks the creation of this blog, as well as me going back to blogging after more than 5 years. I'm not very good at such tech stuff, such as blogskins and whatnot, so please pardon me, I'm still learning! ^^

So. After much dithering and urging, I've decided to start up my own online space. From now on, this place shall be where I talk about the events in my life and things that interest me, like fashion, writing, and of course, K-pop.

Those who know me will know I'm a big fan of K-pop *giggles* okay no I promise I will restrain myself so that I won't bore you non-kpop fans!

Please welcome me into the blogging sphere, I promise I will be nice as well, and I certainly don't bite :D

LET THE RIBBON-CUTTING BEGIN THEN!

xoxo,
G.
