[Sponsored] Lumenis x Assurance clinic

No comments:

Hi guys, I'm back after a bit of a hiatus!

Sorry I was really busy the last whole month with work and school, barely had time to sleep even :/ But that doesn't matter, I'm here now~ I've missed you all loads!

Sooooo this post is long overdue, apologies Pris & Dr Wong!

About 1.5 to 2 months ago, I was very generously sponsored by Lumenis and Dr Wong from Assurance Skin, Laser & Aesthetics clinic for a laser session.

Lumenis is the world's largest medical laser company and a global developer, manufacturer and distributor of laser and light-based devices for surgical, aesthetic and ophthalmic applications.

Imagine my delight when I was called upon to try out this new machine called AcuPulse!

"It treats acne scars, wrinkles, facial lines, sun damage, stretch marks, uneven texture, and warts, just to name a few. It is empowered with SuperPulse technology - a trailblazing technology that reduces risks of side effects and also ensures patients’ comfort during the treatment process."
I was promised that I would witness significant results in just one session ^^

You can watch the video here to see the procedure for yourself:

Please watch in 720p for best effects. HAHAHAHA (ok don't laugh la)

Okay, warning first uh, the following pictures might be slightly disturbing. It's the after-effects of the laser, but it wears off after a week (or less). All images are unedited and I am completely sans makeup.

Before the laser:

Putting on the numbing cream. I also opted for an injection through the roof of my mouth into my cheeks, so that the pain would be lesser.
-- disclaimer-- I have very low pain threshold, and pain differs for everyone, so it might not be very painful for people who can take pain well!
I have to admit though, without the injection it would've been pretty unbearable for me.

After AcuPulse:

Areas focused on were only the cheeks, so I look nice and rosy don't I *positive*

Day 1 of recovery:

I spent the whole day trying to hide from the sun, because Dr Wong said my skin might TURN BROWN AND FLAKE if I exposed it to the sun.

The horror.

Caps & umbrellas all out please.

Day 2:

Skin is less red, but the "bbq wire mesh" markings are still visible.

Day 3:

It was no longer painful, just looks like sunburnt. Though I was still mighty self-conscious about the very obviously square markings. Lol

Day 4:

Day 5:

Day 6:

Right side was alot better, though left was still abit red.

Day 7:

Day 8:

I felt it was alot better, like although there was still redness and spots, the acne scars were alot less visible, and my skin was fairer and tighter!

I think the worst pain came from right after the laser session. The skin was really sore and there were little spots of blood (which freaked me out) but Doc says it's normal :)

I had an assortment of sunblock, moisturizers and creams to apply on my face, twice a day.

Afterall, boys and girls, no pain no gain right?

Most importantly, I feel the effects up to now, close to 2 months later. My skin is much smoother, and scars are fainter.

Okay some pretty photos spam now, to make up for the scary photos above. Hahaha all taken recently, no edit on the skin, just filters on the lighting!

Okay la, and these photos I have makeup on la :D

Really thankful for this sponsored session from Lumenis and Assurance clinic, everyone was really nice and caring towards me throughout the entire process :)

Thank you once again, Pris & Dr Wong!
