Like I mentioned on my Instagram a month back, I think I might've found a solution to my uneven face.

I recently found out the reason why my face has been getting gradually more and uneven is because of my wisdom teeth. I have 4 altogether (though none the wiser) and it has been nothing but damaging to my face shape. Some background: My first wisdom tooth sprouted in 2011, on the left side of my mouth. Because of the pain, I constantly chewed on the right side, causing the muscles of my right jaw to get stronger and more defined than my left one. Hence, my uneven face.

Moral of the story: please remove all goddamned wisdom teeth asap.

Next best moral of the story is: if you can't prevent, cure it! Mary Chia to the rescue.

MU V.TIVATE (V 提美) is a French-formulated mist spray that seeks to defy gravity, lift and hydrate skin in just 10 minutes! One spray on the face is all it takes to enjoy these four benefits:

- Lifting
- UV Defense
-Hydrating
- Regeneration

* Key ingredients are all derived from the stem cells of plants, which boosts the mist spray's anti-aging properties.

Let's look at the photos from the event, where I got to try the mist firsthand.

After about 3-5 spritzes of the spray ^ Mary Chia personnel fanning my face for it to dry faster.

Can you see how the left side of my face is lifted up? Granted, like I said my face is already slightly uneven, but with this lift it is even more obvious! I am of course horrified and amazed all together.

Hydration level also went up from 45% to 62.9%. On my face, I could feel a cooling sensation, followed by some slight pulling. I assume its the tightening of my face. Very impressive.

Tada! Laugh lines and cheek on the left is obviously higher.

Mom and J also tried it for themselves:

Both of them were also sprayed on the left side of their faces. See how their faces became uneven too!

I am excited because I can now simply spray the right side of my face before I go out, and my face will be more symmetrical. Takes me less than a minute to spray and fan myself, and the tightening effect is almost instant. You can use it before or after makeup, girls!

This is a terribly accurate close-up of my face during the event. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Are bloggers even supposed to upload such unflattering photos of themselves? Hahaha.

Other treats from the event included the Body Composition Analyzer, which told me what my visceral fat rating is and also muscle mass, fat mass, BMI.... you get the gist.

Glad to know my visceral fat rating is 1, which is the best rating! I don't know how or why though, I eat lard by the containers. Favourite "side dish" with minced meat noodles. It's unhealthy, I know I should learn to moderate myself.

Another treat: Collagen beauty drink! Tasted a bit funky but Mom said it's supposed to taste like that. She also told me I'm too young to drink such stuff so I gave half of my bottle to her and she promptly gulped it down. Love my cartoon mom.

All bloggers and Mary Chia personnel onstage to "yum seng" to the launch of MU V.TIVATE!

Thank you pretty mummy for accompanying me! (I took this photo nice rightttt)

& thank you to my dearest Oppa for the photos <3

MU V.TIVATE comes in 5ml ($68) and 50ml ($388). All prices are subject to 7% GST. Available at all Mary Chia and Urban Homme outlets:

One spray and you're good to go.

Chomp Chomp move out of the way, there's a new kid on the block.

12 Maju Avenue recently unveiled its latest offering to the Serangoon Gardens Estate residents, with the launch of a new cosy Korean Tapas Bar under SYNC.

You can read about their other arm, the Korean Fusion Bistro located at Westgate here.

This Tapas Bar features Korean-inspired tapas by Chefs Edwin Lau and Calista Ong, who are both renowned chefs worldwide. So you can expect mouthwatering Korean-themed seafood, meat and even beef tapas from just $9.90.

An everything-Korean fan like me just can't miss this.

At the closed media event, there were a variety of dishes that were served. I particularly liked how traditional Korean food were fused together with Singaporean preferences to produce dishes that are suitable for anyone who wants Korean food with a dash of Singaporean flavour.

Also, the place was warm and private, perfect for hanging out with friends till late, chatting over soju and snacks. Typical Korean style.

First up, let's take a look at their $9.90 tapas menu:

Kimchi 김치 ($9.90)

In Korea, there are hardly any meals that come served without kimchi, so this is a MUST-HAVE. However, I thought it was too tangy for my liking, and the ginger taste was too strong. Oppa loved it though, you can read his review here. I think I'm too used to the "perfect kimchi" I had in Korea. Or I'm just biased, because how can Singapore match up to Korea right??

Just kidding, I love Singapore and the PAP.

Crackling of Umami Cod Chips 해물과자 ($9.90)

Okay, this is super addictive. I ordered seconds, thirds, fourths.... the taste was savoury and the chips melted in my mouth. Though $9.90 is a little expensive for crackers, I'd say give this a go because I haven't tried anything like this before and I'm not lying when I say I couldn't stop eating this.

Mandu 교자만두 ($9.90)

Crispy minced pork & mushroom dumpling. A little oily for my liking, but then again what's fried and not oily? Mushroom was cooked well and it was moist and warm inside the fried jacket.

Dak-Kangjung 닭강정 ($9.90)

Deep-fried sweet and spicy chicken bites, ricotta and chilli tempura. So-so, it wasn't bad but there wasn't anything that was unique in flavouring to make it stand out.

Next up, the $10.90 dishes:

Sogogi Jowl 소고기 깻잎쌈 ($10.90)

Char-grilled beef jowl in hoba and garlic confit. This was the winner of the night. Beef cheeks were tender and grilled to perfection. The only thing that I didn't like was the mint (?) leaves, which I carefully removed from the tiny toothpicks with little trouble. Ten plates of this over here, please!

Samgyupsal 삼겹살 ($10.90)

Char-grilled pork belly with scallion salad & chilli yuzu dressing. I felt the samgyupsal could be more grilled so that the charred taste would be more obvious. The salad and dressing was a refreshing addition to the dish - sweet yet tangy.

With my +1 Pree for the night!

Our take on the Halloween props we were supposed to play and take photos with.

Other main Korean dishes:

Chicken Paella 닭갈비 빠에야 ($38.90)

Spicy chicken paella with onions, mushrooms, cabbage, sausages and kimchi. Thought this was quite weird... the combination didn't go very well with me. Definitely not for the faint-hearted.

Ssam 보쌈 ($40.90)

"Tender pork ribs lettuce wrap, bun cucumber and pickles with ssam sauce." That is what is stated on the menu. No real idea what is bun cucumber, but I suppose it just cucumber + bun. Though I don't remember tasting any cucumber. Pretty damn good dish. It's a bit like "kong ba pao" style.

And now... drinks!

Soju Mojito ($9.90)

A soju with mint leaves cocktail. If you like alcohol and soju, you'll love this (because Jem did).

Soju Peach Shot ($7.90)

I must confess I only ate the peach. Hahahaha. A great favourite with Koreans!

Misugaru 미 싲 가루 ($8.90)

Lava cake with vanilla ice-cream, strawberries and lime compote. I prefer the yam version that is served at their other branch at Westgate. But texture-wise, the inside is warm and flowy, while the outside is crispy.

Hotteok 호떡($8.90)

Pan-fried chewy Korean pancake with banana! Super yummy, it tastes as good as it sounds. Do add $1.50 for vanilla ice-cream, to round off the dessert!

Overall, I think Sync Korean Tapas Bar is a good place to check out with friends and to chill. The dishes are unique and a refreshing change from our usual Korean fare. Slightly on the pricey side, but otherwise worth a shot. 8/10.

They're currently having promotions!

I am finally down to blogging about Masego Spa! The Halloween event was held back in late October and I did the complimentary spa treatment two weeks later. If you guys check out my Instagram or Facebook page regularly, you'd know that I also held a giveaway that gave my followers a chance to win tickets to this special Halloween event.

Once in a lifetime man, I've never attended a Halloween party in my life, much less a spa-themed one. I hope the winners enjoyed themselves as much as I did!

I'll be posting photos of the event, and also photos and a review of my spa session. Massive photo spam ahead, so just feast your eyes on the goodies that Masego Spa has to offer!

"Unlock the third eye..." it says.

"Drink the potion".

I did. It was apple juice. Meh.

There were all sorts of performances going on inside that were very colourful and vibrant, but not at all scary. Which was a bummer, because I like scary stuff and also I wanted to see Oppa shiver in his pants (he hates horror stuff hahaha).

Free hand paraffin! Of course I did it.

It was super hot my goodness, it felt a lot like dipping your hand into scalding hot water. But it's supposed to be like a treatment for your hands, and my hands did feel smooth and smell good afterwards.

For a moment I thought I was in Madame Tussauds, look at how my hands waxed up!

Guess I'm just not cut out to be a wax figure; they peeled the wax off. Really liked this "hand paraffin" station!

Had cupcakes for mini treats and Oppa had a beer!

With le bestie Zhiyi!

With Pris :)

Photo with some of the giveaway winners!

I thought we did a good job looking scary, eh? Brilliant idea to wear red lipstick.

See this is wrong! Zhiyi & Kevin you two look waaaay too happy here!!!

Horribly fat photo of me but I have to show you guys that we also did ear-candling. For the first time in my life! Quite shiok actually, it didn't hurt and I kinda fell asleep.

These geniuses got themselves called up on stage to take part in games. I swear I didn't "escape" on purpose, but these cuties should've known better than to stand so near to the stage area. LOL

Fun and games aside, guess who won prizes in the lucky draw?

Yours truly of course ~

Very very surprising because I don't ever win anything in my life from lucky draws, no luck at all in such competitions. Tough luck mate.

Jem Tan should really stop creeping in other's photos!!!

Kiss as a punishment!

Thank you Zy and K for being such good sports for the night!

--------------- REVIEW ---------------

Two weeks later!

Bathroom facilities to wash up and shower after massage.

Our couple tent!

First the receptionist made us fill up a form that stated our preferences (soft, medium or hard strength) and led us to the bathroom to change into the robe. Shower cap and lockers are provided! You can also shower after the massage to wash off the oil. Shower gel and towels are available upon request or already inside the bathroom.

I thought the massage was very thorough - she started on my back, followed by arms, waist, legs (even toes) and when I flipped around, the upper chest, hips and head massage also followed.

Very relaxing and I think all my tensed muscles loosened.

If only I weren't so ticklish. The whole tent was me just trying to snuffle my giggles (I can't help it sorry masseuse!) and Jem laughing at me laughing ._.

Look at our rejuvenated faces after massage. They also served us "chng-tng" and some sort of odd tea. Good service! No facial/spa place I've been has served me dessert before.

**P.S Zhiyi also went for the session on a different day and she said they served her green bean soup. I guess they change dessert menus quite often. Thumbs up!

Our body massage is worth $68 for a 60-min session. There are also 90-min ($98) and 120-min ($128) sessions available. If you ask me, I say go for it. Worth your money.
